Absolutely! Traveling with your CPAP machine is convenient and recommended for maintaining your sleep apnea treatment. However, standard CPAPs can be bulky and cumbersome. To address this, we offer travel CPAP machines that are significantly smaller and lighter, making them easier to pack and carry. Just be sure you'll have access to electricity at your destination, or consider investing in a battery backup to ensure uninterrupted therapy.

CPAPs maintain a constant air pressure during each inhalation, allowing your lungs to exhale without pressure. BiPAPs deliver different air pressure for both inhalation and exhalation.
Your sleep study and diagnosis will determine which machine is right for you and your sleep apnea severity.
CPAP pressure is measured in centimeters of water (cm H2O). It refers to the amount of air pressure delivered by the CPAP machine to keep your airways open during sleep.
Common CPAP pressure settings typically range from 4 to 20 cm H2O, though this can vary depending on the device and the individual's needs. The average CPAP setting is around 8 to 10 cm H2O.
It's important to note that these are just general guidelines. Your doctor will determine the right CPAP pressure for you based on a sleep study called a titration study. This study will monitor your breathing patterns while you sleep and adjust the pressure until it effectively prevents apneas and hypopneas.
Severity of sleep apnea: People with more severe sleep apnea may require higher pressure settings.
Anatomy of your upper airway: The size and shape of your airway can affect how much pressure is needed to keep it open.
Pressure tolerance: Some people may find higher pressure settings uncomfortable.
If you are using a CPAP machine, it is important to work with your doctor to find the right pressure setting for you. Using the wrong pressure setting can be ineffective or uncomfortable.
Most insurance providers will replace your CPAP machine every 3 to 5 years. Each providers policy is different.
If you are interested in getting a new machine, contact us and we will help with the insurance verification process.
A prescription from your physician is required for all sleep tests, CPAP & BiPAP machines and complete mask systems.
A prescription is not required for individual mask parts, accessories, batteries and sleep comfort items.
While snoring is a major indication of sleep apnea, snoring alone is not enough to diagnose. The only way to know for sure if you have sleep apnea is from a qualified sleep test.
When left untreated, sleep apnea can cause serious health problems. The good news is that it’s treatable. Complete this assessment to see if you may be at risk.
