Resupply

Your CPAP cushion is a vital part of your sleep apnea therapy. It creates a seal with your face, allowing the pressurized air from your CPAP machine to flow comfortably into your airways. Finding the right cushion and keeping it in good shape are key to a successful CPAP experience.

Types of Cushions

There are three main types of CPAP cushions, each with its own advantages:

  • Nasal Pillows: These rest under your nostrils, offering a lightweight and open feel. They're ideal for claustrophobic individuals or those who wear glasses.
  • Nasal Masks: These cover your entire nose and provide a reliable seal. They come in various styles and sizes to accommodate different facial structures.
  • Full Face Masks: These cover both your nose and mouth, ensuring a secure seal even if you breathe through your mouth during sleep.

Taking Care of Your Cushions

Taking Care of Your Cushion:

  • Cleaning: Wash your cushion daily with warm water and a mild soap. Let it air dry completely before reassembling your mask.
  • Replacement: Cushions wear out over time and lose their effectiveness. Generally, they should be replaced every 3-6 months, or more frequently if you notice any cracks, tears, or leaks.
