RELIABLE: The PAT signal is an approved measure in the 2017 AASM HSAT Clinical Practice Guidelines for Adults with OSA.

The WatchPAT ONE (Portable Apnea Test) is a home-based sleep study device that measures various sleep and respiratory parameters, allowing doctors to diagnose sleep apnea and other related sleep disorders. The device is worn on the wrist and consists of three sensors: a PAT sensor, a peripheral arterial tonometry (PAT) finger probe, and an oxygen saturation (SpO2) sensor.

The PAT sensor is capable of measuring the patient's body position, snoring intensity, and apnea and hypopnea events. The peripheral arterial tonometry (PAT) finger probe measures heart rate, sleep/wake cycles, peripheral arterial tone, and digital pulse wave amplitude. Finally, the oxygen saturation (SpO2) sensor measures the patient's oxygen levels.

The device is easy to use and can be set up in minutes. It is non-invasive and allows patients to sleep in their own bed, providing more accurate results than a sleep study conducted in a lab. Once the sleep study is complete, the data is automatically uploaded to a secure cloud-based system and analyzed by a sleep specialist.

The WatchPAT ONE is particularly useful for patients who are unable to undergo an in-lab sleep study due to mobility issues or distance, or for those who prefer the convenience of a home-based sleep study. It provides a comprehensive assessment of sleep and respiratory parameters with accuracy comparable to in-lab polysomnography (PSG), the traditional sleep study.

Overall, the WatchPAT ONE offers an effective and convenient home sleep test solution for diagnosing sleep apnea and other related breathing disorders.
